The Experience of Being a Da Capo Member

Updated: Aug 18, 2023

Here's what some of our members have to say about participating in our performances.

Being a member of Da Capo is an amazing opportunity! Not only do we hold performances around 2 times a month, but you get to choose which performances you attend based on your availability.

Joining this group not only allows you to get service hours, but gives you the invaluable practice experience of performing, as well as the chance to build confidence and conquer any anxieties associated with recitals. What's more, you'll even get the chance to connect with other high schoolers who share the same love and appreciation for music that you do!

Here is what some of our members have to say about the experience!

"Being a part of Da Capo has really helped me reconnect with the reason I enjoy playing piano. While daily practice can tend to be a very solitary thing, performing in different environments for the community has given me the opportunity to share my love for music and bring joy into other people’s lives. The group has also been a great support system where I’ve been able to meet new people I wouldn’t have met otherwise!"

"Da Capo has been a great way to help my community and share my passion. It also is helpful for practicing public playing on a lowkey scale. Overall, it's so rewarding sharing my love of music with others and helping them love it too!"

"I joined Da Capo because I like playing music for people and playing music with people... There’s a different experience when you’re doing it for people, or with people, and especially when you’re doing both. The group gave me the opportunity to do that and connect with strangers everywhere which I think is quite neat... Unless wicked cool sounds better."
